01 / About Us

Corporate History & Background

A focused manufacturing foundation for sugar alcohols, excipient-grade polyols, and controlled downstream applications.

Foundational History

Established in 1990, Goya Agro Industries transitioned into advanced polyol manufacturing with the commissioning of its first high-purity Sorbitol production line, an expansion spearheading the company's entry into specialized chemical synthesis under foundational family leadership. Building upon this operational foundation, the company has further diversified its technical portfolio over the past 3-4 years with the integration of a dedicated Maltitol manufacturing line to meet evolving global standards.

Processing & Infrastructure

To maintain uncompromised chemical purity and eliminate raw material variances, Goya Agro Industries bypasses crude starch processing entirely. The facility directly sources high-grade Dextrose syrup from verified third-party manufacturers, guaranteeing a strictly controlled, high-purity feed input. This raw feedstock is processed inside our advanced catalytic hydrogenation lines, which are directly integrated with our automated on-site hydrogen electrolyzer infrastructure to ensure a continuous, clean reaction loop.

Technical Synthesis Pathways

Sequential unit operations for each primary product line, from feedstock intake through finished-grade output.

Track A

Sorbitol Process Track

  1. Phase

    01

Dextrose Syrup Preparation: Dextrose is prepared in a charging tank under specific pH, temperature, dissolved solids, and DE parameters, then transferred to a high-pressure hydrogenator along with magnesium powder, wet nickel, and active agitation.
  2. Phase

    02

High-Pressure Catalytic Hydrogenation: The dextrose syrup is reacted with a Raney-Nickel catalyst under 25–30 bar of hydrogen pressure and high temperature for 4–8 hours, followed by hourly in-process sampling once gas consumption bottoms out.
  3. Phase

    03

Nickel settling and validation: The completed reaction mixture undergoes 8–9 hours of gravity settling to recover the bulk nickel catalyst, followed by sequential filtration through three Pressure Leaf Filters (PLF) to trap remaining micro-fine catalyst particles.
  4. Phase

    04

Mixing and validation: Batches from both reactors are combined and agitated for 2 hours, with analytical samples compared at the second and third hours to validate blend uniformity across critical process parameters like pH, DS, and water content.

05 / Quality Assurance

Quality Assurance Matrix

Analytical frameworks and process controls governing product release, feedstock integrity, and batch confidence.

QA-01

Analytical Testing

Sorbitol Solution 70% IP/BP/USP testing is supported through controlled analytical methods covering appearance, HPLC identification, pH range, relative density, reducing sugars, water content, assay, and heavy-metal limits. Detailed product-specific records are available to verified buyers on request.

QA-02

Process & Supply Controls

Manufacturing is governed through controlled batch documentation, critical process parameter logging, dextrose syrup preparation controls, high-pressure catalytic hydrogenation checks, catalyst handling, filtration, and batch review. Stability and control sample records are maintained internally for audit and buyer verification.
